ABOUT THE SOCIETY

The Society of Ecological Chemistry and Engineering (statute) was founded in 1993 by Witold and Maria Wacławek and it publishes 4 peer-reviewed journals:

  1. Ecological Chemistry and Engineering S (ECE S). WOS 2020 Impact Factor: 1.545. https://content.sciendo.com/view/journals/eces/eces-overview.xml
  2. Chemistry-Didactics-Ecology-Metrology (CDEM). Available on WOS (2012-Present), Scopus (2019- Present) and ERIH PLUS (2016-Present). https://content.sciendo.com/view/journals/cdem/cdem-overview.xml
  3. Proceedings of ECOpole. Available on WOS (2007-2010). Scopus (2021- Present).
  4. Ecological Chemistry and Engineering A (ECE A). Available on WOS (2009- Present) and Scopus (2019-Present).

Except WOS, all the journals are indexed and abstracted among others in Chemical Abstracts and BazTech.

The Society also publishes books and organizes international conferences ECOpole (that was a host for 4 Nobel Prize laureates). Next one the 30th annual Central European Conference ECOpole’21, will be held in 13-16. X. (Wednesday-Saturday) 2021 in  Hotel Tomaszowice Manor (Dwór w Tomaszowicach – 15 km from Kraków Center) (PL).

The Society of Ecological Chemistry and Engineering mainly focuses on the following scientific fields:

  • monitoring of quality of environment e.g. agrocenosis,
  • radionuclide concentration measurements in environment,
  • utilization of alternative energy sources (solar cells),
  • water purification by different methods,
  • nanomaterials (and their environmental applications),
  • green synthesis.s
